car two years ago, and it is a delight to own – powerful, smooth, very well built, looks fantastic in the subtle Carbon Black, and is in great condition. | It has always been serviced by a BMW Dealer and has full service history. It has just passed a new MOT, and has never let me down or had any issues. | The high level of options specification makes it very comfortable, safe and easy to drive. | The car is equipped with the fantastic BMW professional navigation system and superb looking 19" M172 `Spider` alloy wheels. The most enjoyable factor of the car for us it`s subtle `Q` car status. It has incredible performance, yet with discreet looks and great economy. | The wheels are in excellent condition with no kerbing. All four tyres were recently replaced. In the last year, the car has had new brake disks and pads all round, new suspension arms and bushes at the front. The diesel particulate filter (DPF) has been removed and the ECU remapped to suit, providing better performance and improved fuel economy. | There are two minor issues I’m aware of. The driver`s wing mirror electric folding doesn`t work, and one of the front parking sensors is faulty. | The 535d has had three previous owners. The mileage is currently 124k and it has 12-months MOT. It currently has a private plate which will be removed before sale, it`ll be returned to a `05` registration. The most recent service was a Vehicle Check, and the Condition-based servicing computer is reporting that the next Oil Service is due in 6,000 miles. The car is in daily use, so the mileage will increase whilst for sale. | As the pictures show, the body work is excellent, although the front bumper has a lot of stone chips, as is common at this age and mileage. | Click on the image for a larger version | Click on the image for a larger version | Click on the image for a larger version | Why is the 535d so good? | Thanks to BMW`s ingenious sequential turbo system (a tiny turbo ensures good low-rev response and a bigger turbo takes over as engine revs rise and more boost is required) the 3-litre diesel has a huge powerband, with meaningful urge from 1500rpm and real thump from as little as 2000rpm. Things only start to fade as you close in on 5000rpm - and with very long gearing (a sign of BMW`s confidence in the engine in the first place) the 535d takes huge strides between shifts. More surreal is that whichever gear it snaps into there`s simply more and more thrust. Only a supercharged AMG-product summons up a similar feeling that you`re being swept along by a seemingly endless swell of thrust. | The E60 body was made using aluminium for the front of the car, and steel for the passenger cabin and rear thus making 50:50 weight balance. The Sport chassis does a convincing job of translating sheer grunt into monster propulsion even in the lower gears and that tell-tale flashing yellow triangle rarely intervenes. Out of tight corners the 535d is beautifully hooked-up, and the combination of that elastic power-band and the grippy, flat-cornering stance make the 535d Sport an easy car in which to build up a rhythm. WANT AN X5. CONFUSED ?? SO AM I ANYWAY - IT`S UP FOR SALE AGAIN If you are looking for a BMW X5 then look no further. Please read all the advert then you can look at the rest before you buy or deal for this one. This is a 53 plate X5 Sport Auto with plenty of tax and MOT. It has only 82,000 miles with a DVLA print out and service history to prove the miles. I have the leather wallet with all the books etc and another leather wallet with the details of the Tracker-Retrieve that is fitted. It is not activated at the moment but 1 phone call will sort that out. It is a beautiful car inside and out and drives like new. I will be honest right from the start. This car has NEVER been damaged but was subject to an insurance claim to to water damage under the bonnet. £2900 was spent to put it right and there is no way of knowing now. The LPG system was fitted 2 years ago and is fantastic. You don`t notice the change over from petrol to gas and with gas at 70p a litre this BMW is cheap to run whilst being a fantastically luxurious car to drive. The tank is in the spare wheel well and it has the luggage shelf that slides out so that you can load or unload without any stretching. The filler is hidden away on the tow bar and not in the body work. The bodywork is in stunning silver with only a couple of scratches on the back bumper. ( see photo ). The windows have the subtle tint that makes the car look even better and if you add that to the rear spoiler and side steps this is a gorgeous car. Inside it has the black leather sport seats that are all electric with memory. The steering column is electric memory and everything works as it should. All in all this is an absolute bargain at the price I am asking. You would struggle to find a high mileage 2003 X5 without gas for this money. This is a beautiful low mileage on gas with all the extras including fully functioning air suspension. I can go on and on but you only have to see it to fall in love.
