Just testing the water.
Owned this classic BMW for nearly 20 years and spent a fortune on her. Has been dry stored for past 10 yrs apart from a minor restoration five yrs ago.
Car is in very good condition apart from Passenger wing and a few minor scabs here and there. Drivers wing is new (£680) and it has M Tech kit in Fibreglass due to Chrome rusting out on front bumper.
Over the years it has had:
New Tank
New Brake Master Cyl+Sphere booster unit
Full Autobox rebuild 300 miles ago
Full Top end rebuild (skimmed head, crack tested, new stem seals,camshaft, rockershafts and Headgasket and bolts.
Full New Suspension (Proven Products Gas Shocks and Eibarch springs.
Two new door hinges
Rear Subframe carrier bushes.
New Discs/Pads
Full closure Clifford alarm with Intellistart £1000.
Genuine BBS alloys with excellent 17'' tyres.
Probably lots more that I have forgotten
Some pics following restoration. Note the 18'' rims have now been replaced with genuine BBS 17''. The car also appeared in Readers Rides in RETRO magazine. Car is currently blocked in the garage, will get in and get some interior etc pics in next few days.
It has sat in garage for years now and I don't see me putting it on road anytime soon. Obviously it will need a bit of cosmetic tidying and fettling to brakes etc. I am in two minds about selling so please don't waste your time with stupid offers, or question about breaking, because they will be ignored! More pics will be posted later.
