2008 BMW 320d Touring automatic. Excellent condition with full service history. Currently 47,011 miles. MOT until November, just had a full service in January at 46,900 miles. Taxed until end of August. Registered on 10 January 2008, so has the updated 177 engine, but just pre-dates the cosmetic facelift where they changed the shape of the bonnet. It is the SE model with all the toys, and additionally has a seat upgrade fitted - the front seats are the deeper sport type, with adjustable squab and side cushions, and they are heated. Other than that the car is completely standard. It is in excellent condition inside and out, and everything works as it should. I always look after my vehicles and have sold to happy customers before on ebay (please check my feedback).
I bought this car from Car Giant on 6 March 2011, I paid in cash and there is no finance outstanding. At the time I bought a 2 year AA warranty, the second year of which can be transferred to the new owner for a £35 fee. I also had the upholstery and paintwork treated with Gard X. It was a one owner car that had been owned by Hitachi and presumably was a company car, but with unusually low miles (41,692) and in excellent nick, HPI clear etc. I bought it mainly to use for work as I had a job requiring motorway miles at the time, but after putting 5,000 miles on it over the next 6 months I then changed to a job with not much travel and since then it has had very little use, hence the decision to sell. It's a brilliant car, comfortable, practical, economical, but still powerful and a pleasure to drive. I was getting 47mpg average and 700 miles from a tank doing a mix of town and longer journeys. Recently I've used it mainly for short journeys round town and am still getting 43mpg, and that's from an auto! It has been totally reliable as you would expect.
It has quality tyres on with plenty of wear. Service history is as follows:
7/1/2009 17,897 miles - Eastern Motor Co. (BMW main dealer)
17/12/2009 32,827 miles - Eastern Motor Co. (BMW main dealer)
7/4/2010 36,435 miles - Sytner High Wycombe (BMW main dealer)
21/1/2012 46,921 miles - J&J Autos (this is my local independent who I'd trust over a main dealer any day)
All documents, service book, and manuals are present along with the spare key.
Things to note:
- the car has two minor dents next to each other on the bonnet near the windscreen, about the size of a 20p. The paint is not damaged. I tried to take a photo but they are not really visible with the camera I have. They are easily accessible from underneath so could be fixed by dentmaster or similar for not much money (I might get round to doing this before the sale)
- It's a black car so the odd minor scuff or light scratch can be seen on close inspection. You would have to look close to see anything and there is nothing bad enough to appear on the photos
- A couple of minor scuffs to the edges of the alloys from kerbs
- At the recent service the garage identified a slight weep from the gearbox sump seal, and suggested it is checked again in a year. It doesn't require any action now. This is what they wrote on the invoice: "Note - slight weep - gearbox oil - gearbox sump very minor leak".
That's it, this is a really nice car and I'm in two minds about selling it. I feel I have priced it very reasonably to reflect all the above, and although I've included best offer I'm not going to take much less. Viewings and inspections welcome, the car is in N.London - message me.
