I have spoken to my local garage and this is what car requires to be running in good order again.Cylinder Head(Roughly £350)New Wheel Bearing on the back drivers (£70)Fuse for heater as heating is a bit inconsistent(£60)There is a patch of rust on the back passenger side which is included in photo and the usual little scratches that you would expect from an older car. Inside the car is in exceptional condition, there has only been 1 prev owner.Also the driver`s electric window does work but is a bit noisy so I expect that at some stage it might need to be looked at. We have had the car serviced every year through the BMW garage and over the more recent years my local garage. On 28 March 2012 I replaced both wishbones on the car at a cost of £190 and last August I purchased 4 new tyres.When the car is in working order it drives like a dream and we have been very lucky to have had very few problems with it over the years. The car is taxed until end of August and MOT until January 2013. I will be sad to see the car go but I have started working from home and my partner and parents have a car therefore I cant justify the need to fix etc. The value of this car for this year is roughly £1300 therefore I have put a small reserve on,as it has the tax and MOT on it and some new parts which I could sell. i haven`t got.i haven`t had it long i swapped it with my old car to save fuel and i did i had a 2.0 before but the previous owner didn`t tell me it had been a write off in 2009 but obviously its ok now though,right now for the known faults,drivers window jumps off runner when you try to put it back up.the exhaust is rattling,there is a slight knock from the front driver side. i got told it is a wishbone bush which there is one in the boot, two rear tyres are going to need replacing soon,sometimes it can be a bit jumpy changing gear,there is a rubber pipe near the air filter has a crack in it,a tiny bit of rust just starting to come through,slight engine oil leak? not used any oil since i have owned it.it has tax until 31st of JulyMOT until 30th junetwo nearly new tyres on the front two new rear springs remote central locking two fobs one working probably just needs a battery,two keys,so to sum it up its a cheap run around easy fix for little money ?or use until tax and mot run out and sell on again or scrap ?any questions please ask,it will be sold as seen with no returns or warranty given.mileage will go up as still being used daily.obviously collection only, and prefer cash on collection.
