I must say that other than a few small stone chips and minor parking dents this vehicle is in a very good condition having no rust signs in any of the places that these cars usually suffer . Even the alloy wheels are in good order considering they have propped this car up now for over twelve years . The interior is pretty much the same showing very little signs of wear even on the drivers seat . The only other obvious problem is the passenger electric window does not work . car. I have had it since December 2009 and the only problem was the clutch- which has now been replaced at the end of last year. The car is in good condition for its age with a few cosmetic wears such as rust on the rear drivers side (see photo) and small rust patches in a few places which are barely noticeable. It has a dent on the drivers door which is not very noticeable of which I tried to take a photo of but for some reason you can`t see it in the photo! The interior is also in good condition, the fabrics in very good condition. I will leave my Kenwood CD player in the car and will also have the origional BMW Cassett/radio player for the buyer to have as part of the sale. It has air conditioning but unfortunately is not working- I was told it probably needs a new gas canister. The car has full service history up to date and will need a service in the near future. I have all the reciepts of work that has been done to the car since I bought it. There are a few chips on the windscreen which have already been filled. There was no parcel shelf when I bought the car, which hasn`t been a problem for me. The pillar fabrics are slighlty coming away on both sides and are slightly discoloured (see photo). Insurance Group 10E. Car has a tendency to pop out of second gear when cold but doesn`t happen all the time. It does go into 2nd gear fine but just sometimes likes to pop out! I`m not sure if it might just be me not placing it into gear properly- as my partner has driven it and it doesn`t do it to him! I thought I would mention just incase. As you can see from the photos it is a very good looking car! and has upgraded alloys which just make it that extra special! I hope that the buyer can enjoy it as much as I have! repaired by JO DARBY BMW SPECIALISTS using genuine BMW parts which comprised of d/s wing, d/s suspension strut and a steering rack so not that bad realy and you would never know by driving it or looking at it. It has tax till end of april and full mot with 109,000 on the clock and it drives superb. In the 12 month ive owned it all I have had to replace is the driver side lower arm. The body isnt bad but does have some carpark dinks, a crack in the front bumper (but not that bad ) and some laquer peel on the p/s wing about the size of a fifty pence peice. I last serviced it in october and it does have service history up to january last year as i have serviced it my self over the past 12 months. This is a nice looking car and has been kept very clean and tidy. It has a ripspeed dvd player in with sub and amp and pioneer speakers all round which will be left in if the buy it now price is paid. The reason for me selling is that we need a bigger car due to having three kids who are growing fast and dont really have much space in the back so its time to upgrade to bigger car although i will be sad to see this car go as i know its a very reliable car. being a newer engine you get moddern reliablity with a retro look. | Clutch is good and and gearchange is spot on. | Diff is ratio 3.27 so suits this revvy engine with short ratios acceleration is good. | The suspension has been lowered 40mm with shocks and springs and the result is very good road holding. | The brakes have been upgraded to e30 325 sport brakes back an front. | The overall condition of this car is very good and the shell is solid and went through its mot with ease, the underside of the vehicle has been waxoiled and is showing no signs of rust. The paint work on the car is original and does still have a nioce deep shine but there are a few small carpark dents from annoying people opening their doors. | Considering the way this car goes it is good on fuel if driven sensible, I get 40mpg on a run and 30mpg around town. | Insurance is cheap - can be insured as a classic | Comes with 12 months mot and had 2 advisorys which was chip in windscreen and slight corrossion on one front brake pipe. The dent and mounting points has now been fully repaired and the pictures show the true condition of the car now. The rear bumper has a couple of marks (as pictured), and two scrapes on the corner not untypical of an 11 year old vehicle, but other than these, I can honestly say this is the best example I have seen of a 316i of this age, there is not a single mark, scratch or ding on the bodywork at all. good apart from the usual wear and tear of a vehicle of this age. 4 good tyres wheels are very good and the air con is like ice The external condition of the vehicle is good its all nice and straight the o/s front wing and door have been painted in the past, its not something that would bother me but best to be honest, usual small stone chips on bonnet, front o/s indicator lense is cracked but overall as the pictures show its in good nick Inside is also in good condition,once again with the general wear and tear of a car of this age, slight wear on the drivers seat and steering wheel however the steering wheel has a black leather cover on, NO dashboard lights are on.
