needed so starting at 99p with absolutely no reserve, so get bidding and grab yourself a bargain! (Forgive me for stating the obvious up front: This is a track day car with no headlights, tax or mot, therefore not currently road legal. You will need a trailer to take it away, cash on collection please, and within seven days of auction end). We decided eight years ago that we wanted some budget trackday fun, something fast yet affordable to buy and fix, definitely rear wheel drive, and most importantly something a little different. After much searching we found a very tidy E30 325i Touring that had sat in dry storage for two years. The deal was done and the project started. The logic behind the work done went something like this: to make it go faster, you have to increase the power to weight ratio. Increasing power costs money, and makes for long term unreliability, whereas reducing weight costs nothing more than time and effort. So project E30 was born. I will try my best to list everything we have done. Bad points first: (rather than hiding them at the end of the listing!) This car has seen a lot of action in its years on track, so please don`t expect a showroom classic! I think we`ve replaced just about every panel over the years, and I mean every panel, so if you are bothered about perfect panel fit please walk away now :) Shell is nontheless strong and solid, currently in satin black. Always dry stored when not on the track. Alloy sunroof panel needs painting and a few more rivets. Small crack in corner of windscreen. Engine has oil weeping from the breather pipe tube seal, needs some silicone around it. As always, the best thing to do is come and look before you bid, car is in sunny Stoke on Trent, viewing is recommended and more than welcome! If I remember anything else I will add it to the listing. Good bits: Very light shell: all trim, soundproofing, dashboard and unnecessary electrics, other bits n bobs removed. Door insides and regulators removed. Rear door windows perspexed. Tailgate stripped out and perspexed, even hinges are drilled out for lightness. Spare wheel well removed and covered. Lightened bonnet with alloy bonnet pins. Tow points front and rear. Very strong custom made RS Racing roll cage, thick offroad spec tube, fully welded in at ten points: front floor/sill, A pillar flitches, rear floor/sill, B pillar flitches, rear strut tops. Rear diagonal, rear strut brace and front and rear door bars. Makes a very stiff shell. Padding where needed. Front strut brace in very thick tube. Drivers Recaro race seat and heavy duty Sabelt 4 point harness. Passenger Corbeau race seat and 4 point harness. Battery cut off switch, ignition, start switch and fan switch in custom panel. Fire extinguisher mounted in passenger footwell. Camera mount fitted in passenger side, adjustable, standard mounting. Carbon fibre style steering wheel. Can you guess what the gearknob is? :) Brake pipes replaced and rerouted inside the vehicle. Flexible brake hoses replaced with stainless steel braided hoses. Recent brake fluid change. Fuel pipes replaced. Battery moved to central position for better weight distribution, currently running an 065 but will happily run on an 063 (also included). Very sexy custom made alloy battery box to suit 063 battery (included, not fitted). Lowered road springs all round. Standard struts for low replacement cost. Disc brakes all round, recent Mintex front discs. Recent wishbone bushes, roll bar bushes and drop links. Custom made RS Racing straight through full twin exhaust system with heavy duty hangers. 2.5 litre straight six engine in standard tune for reliability and low running costs. Chipped ECU for better power curve and slightly raised redline. Manual gearbox and recent clutch in good order. Standard BMW diff, goes sideways very well if needed, though you may want to fit an aftermarket LSD if you`re going drifting :) Brake lights and rear indicators working for trackday use. As many spares n bits n bobs as I can find and you want/can carry. At least 10 spare alloys with tyres in various states, included if you want them, may find some more. V5 log book present and in my name. I think that`s about it for now, we`ve not had the time or money to do any trackdays lately, and I need the space in the garage, so its time to go to a new home. The car is also painted in a flat white i had this done while i was deciding on a colour it does want painting in a proper colour.The car has had a full m50 engine conversion the motor came from my own 1992 e36 325 it has the cast block so no nikasil problems and i know its a good motor it also has a chipped ecu,I have used the e36 325 box and clutch and the standard e30 325 open diff,The car is lowered on good quality suspension that gives a nice ride not too hard.The roof is manual and as i say at the moment is half fitted, the 40 or so miles i did drive it last year i was surprised how much faster it was than before with the old 325 motor and everything still worked fine such as the brakes.The interior is blue leather there is a hole the size of a 5p in the drivers bolster the rest is good.The rear bumper is a genuine tech 2 bumper and the car has a new exhaust system the manifolds are modified tubular manifolds from a never 5 series.The car is in flat white the paint was good on the car before but i decided to smooth the rubstrips off down the sides but didnt like it so refitted the rub strips and got the whole car put into the flat white ,i was going to get it painted last job so it all looked fresh when done.Underneath the car is solid no rust really good.The car comes with a tech 2 replica spoiler and the bottom lip part of the front bumper i had to take it off to get the car in the garage,the same with the wing mirrors.I have the log book and history with the car ,there is no mot or tax ,i have done around 40 miles since the conversion was done and everything worked as it should but you will need to take the car away on a trailer .The car was previously a cat C but you really can not tell drives perfect no damage to the floor pan or anything like that ,Its just taking up garage space now i have moved on to hotrods if i was going to keep this i would just buy it a hardtop ,paint it sort any niggles and use it ,very easy to achieve before summer this year .Thats all i can think of for now any questions just ask ,im not putting a buy it now on its too easy for people to press it and not contact you but i will end early for the right price around the seven fifty mark. you can see it is a very beautiful machine big curves phat tail end just awesome so unusual most def a head turner well a little about the car.It is a E30 325i it has 99401 on the clock but this is not entirely accurate as when i bought it just over 6 months ago the speedo was not working i drove it for a while and the garaged it i have now fixed the issue with the speedo.it has tax and mot until 07/12.as you can see from the pictures it has full ground effects but does require some tlc in places like the front bumper as a steroid munching bunny decided to have a pop one night and has a crack in it.it requires a side repeater lens cover as one has vanished.on the corner of the doors where people have opened them in to things but over all it is in good condition.i think that a fuse may have gone somewhere along the line as the alarm doesn`t seem to be activating but the central locking and emoblilliser is working fine.i believe that the car could do with a service as i was going to do it but only got round to doing the sparks due to job consuming most of my time.there is no water in the oil or vice versa.the hood is in need of repair as the other morning the rear window cracked. there is some wear and tear to where the roof folds.musically i have receipts for over £1600.00 for the various parts in there speakers could do with an update but thepioneer amp that powers all the speakers and tweeters is of good working the kicker amp that runs the 1000 amp sub has its own remote that is situated right near the steering wheel.there is an earth quake mixer which i hear is very hard to get hold of now.the lg head set is bluetooth, cd, radio, aux plug, cant really tell you more than that tho. the wheels are over sized deep dish but would benefit from some attention also the tire size are as followsfront 225/50 r15 91Vrear 265/50 r15 m+s.the are on psg rims.i have a few parts like eyebrows that have yet to be taken out the wrapping and a light up bmw badge for the bonnet. got some odd bits that i started collecting.Like i said i had some big plans for this motor and never intended to sell.but due to work i am looking to get a Yamaha YZF R125 in blue and i require around 3k to complete my plans but its all negotiable.any questions please ask i have this advertised else where so it may be withdrawn with out notice.please only serious bidders contact viewings are welcome i work most days from around 15:00hrs contact me on 07817 439584.many thanks. very low mialage for its age which can be backed up with old MOTS and its service history book, (any aa/rac inspection welcome), it has all the nice factory extra`s such as leather seats, cruise control, parking sensors, genuine sport alloy wheels, boot lip spoiler etc and overall is in really good condition. I have recently had replaced the crank positioning sensor, a front tyre, and last year I put a new radiator in her as the previous owner decided to be cheap and bodge a previous leaking radiator rather than replacing it with a new one. but all in all thats it, I had a major service done on the car at the same time as the mot last year, so all pollen filters, fuel and oil filters etc where done and the car has only done around 4,000 miles since, (my wife only uses it to do a 6 mile round trip to work every day) and i use it at the weekends. and drives very well, I drove it daily up until November. It is fitted with check sport trim which is in excellent condition, the original dogtooth interior is available with the car I replaced it as the drivers seat was worn. Car has some small areas of rust, front passenger wing as pictured and in corner of drivers door sill. Car is lowered, bilstein suspension, wheels are deep dish and really suit it. It makes sense to get a 6 Cylinder BMW. and imported and registered in the UK 2008. The car has been meticulously maintained since I have owned and have full documents and import records. that will be provided with the car and would prefer a good home for the vehicle. I currently have 6 cars in the drive (not a dealer) and most are 2 seaters, but when it snows (as you can see from the pictures it`s snowing again !) cannot get out, so unfortunately need a 4x4 and have just purchased one today so have to say fairwell to the BMW as my wife is putting her foot down on my car collection. The roof has no tears or damage and the rear screen is clear, MOT was November 2011 (no advisories), 158k documented miles, all records, the BMW tool kit is still under the trunk lid, i have the orginal BMW alloy wheels that will go on the (the tyres stiull have the paint bands around them (with zero miles use) the current wheels are Borbet A with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres which have less than 1,000 miles on them and can be included at additional cost. The car is also fitted with a Viper Alarm and immobiliser with proximity module (the alarm can be used when the roof is down and if someone leans into the car it sets off teh alarm off, but wind does not. I have just spent £650 having the head gasket changed before it went, which also inclded a new water pump, the air conditioning blows cold, it has the original operation manual and the leather folder. The car runs extremely well and I would have no worry in jumping in it and driving the length of the country, of course as a california car, there is no rust whatsoever on the vehicle.
