My lovely BMW 330d M Sport - very nice ( and expensive ) factory sunroof option, Sat Nav/DVD player / iPod /Bluetooth, grey leather interior, no tears ...> rips etc - Mystic metallic blue paint, no nasty dents - few small aged related stone chips, MV2 Alloys, good tyres, Headlamp wash, Cruise, etc.MOT till June ( sailed through last one ) new discs last year, Step tronic box - Gearbox oil changed at 90k by Bristol specialist - Stainless exhaust fitted by previous owner, very fast and very economical ( 50mpg / 145 mph!). Here I have for sale my 53 Plate BMW 330D, which has covered 164,500 miles. Registered on the 29/9/2003It has had 3 previous owners (4 inc. myself)The ...> car comes with fully stamped BMW service book with all inspections (1 and 2s) completed and up to date - the next is due in a little under 13,000 miles. Also a small amount of service history.Tax, until July 31st 2012Mot, until September 26th 2012 Just had brand new rear pads and sensor, water pump, thermostat housing and front lower arm bushes fitted at the end of March.The car has also had a remap, although I do not have any proof or definite figures it is believed to be around 250BHP and 350ft/lp. It pulls ridiculously in any gear and I will happily take any interested buyers for a drive to show this. I have done research into remapped 330d BMWs and it seems that there are some problems which can arise after a remap due to the extra torque and the auto boxes not coping with it, this car has none of the problems I have researched.Interior Spec-Black leather upholstery-Black interior with carbon effect trim-BMW Business head unit (tape player) with a 6 disc CD changer in the boot + Bluetooth connection-On board computer, Mpg, Speedo, Outdoor Temp, Clock, miles left of fuel-Very good interior lighting with map lights front and rear-Vanity mirrors in sun visors with lighting-Air conditioning, which needs re-gassing-Mobile phone holder for an old Nokia 62/3** in centre console (OEM)-Automatic windscreen wipers, newly purchased aero wipers (Retro fit, so not OEM)-Bluetooth, phones can be linked up to give a hands free `kit`-Traction control, 3 stage - On/Half/Off-Auto dimming rear view mirror-Heated wing mirrors-Heated rear screenExterior/Engine Spec-M Sport, so lower/stiffer suspension, bumpers, steering wheel, rear boot lip/spoiler -Automatic 5 speed, with the option to change gear manually and a sport mode-MV2 spec wheels, no stickers on but have brand new ones in the glove box-Front and rear fog lights-Sharks fin aerial -Rear parking sensors-Xenon lighting which can also be put on to automatic, so come on when natural light starts to dimBad parts-A couple of scags in the leather on the door panels, smaller that 5 pence piece-Front left arch has some surface rust-Small patch of rust on the tailgate-Stone chips on the front bumper/bonnet-Few small scratches around bumper edges-Non OEM floor mats-Scratch on offside sill (rear)-Some curb marks on wheels-Rear parking sensors sometimes beep constantly rather than intermittently while reversingAll 4 tires replaced just before I purchased the car.No part exchangeDeposit of £500 required within 24 hours. General comments: Quite literally the best car I have ever owned (14 in the past 15 years). The economy, performance and overall experience are simply astonishing. Build quality is second to none. The engine in my 330d is much quieter than expected too. Report this review I traded in a year old Ford Focus ST3 with 13000 miles on it for my BMW 3 Series 330d Sport Saloon with 27500 miles. The Focus was great car, but had a drink problem- 17mpg. BM cost more to buy but ain't going to deplete the planet of fossil fuel at the rate of the Focus. I know I have only owned the BM for a few days but fuel consumption is averaging 39-40mpg. Good for any car let alone a 3 litre. Other peoples perception of BMW isn't justified. Many people think that BMW's are cars for pose ... No matter how hard you drive this car it'll always return at least 30mpg and if your sensible 35 up to 45mpg which adds up to 400+ miles per tank. The BMW automatic gearbox is not great; we used to have a 330 petrol automatic and my 300 D manual was much quicker. In any case, these cars are drivers cars, so enjoy them more with a manual gearbox, which for me has returned 42.1 mpg over the 25,000 miles. My previous car was a BMW 323 petrol and I find the 330D more refined, relaxed, economical and powerful. How many cars do you know are only doing 2,500 revs at 80mph? 6 ISSUES FOR £1 Search Car Reviews: You're in - Car Reviews: Car Group Tests BMW 330d M Sport auto Sharp looks, great to drive – but has BMW played too safe with update? October 2008 Consider its popularity and importance to BMW’s balance sheet, and you can understand why taking risks wasn’t an option on the 3-Series. As a result, the styling updates made to the compact executive are subtle. The front bumper and headlights have been changed, while the new bonnet has defined creases from the badge back to the windscreen.At the rear there are LED tail-lights, and the bootlid has been reprofiled, too. However, the fundamental proportions of the car are unchanged. As before, the M Sport’s racy bodywork tweaks, 18-inch wheels and lower suspension give the 330d a genuine sports saloon appearance.Inside, a chunky steering wheel continues the performance feel, while supportive seats give the perfect driving position. The cabin is neither as luxurious as the Audi’s nor as spacious. But the build quality is hard to fault, while the simple dash and ergonomic switchgear give the interior a sound, if slightly formal, layout.The new 3-Series is the first model to get BMW’s substantially reworked iDrive cabin control system. It has been completely overhauled, and is a marked improvement, with a more intuitive menu screen and extra switches around the main control wheel.Where the BMW can’t better the A4 is in the boot. Significant wheelarch intrusion limits practicality, but as the 3-Series has run-flat tyres, the space for the spare is given over to handy underfloor storage. Under the bonnet, the changes to the 330d come in the shape of a new all-aluminium engine delivering 245bhp and 520Nm of torque – 14bhp and 20Nm more than its predecessor. That makes the 3-Series the most powerful car here. On the road, a wave of torque from low revs means the BMW is quicker than its rivals from 0-60mph, and performance is truly effortless. The optional automatic box provides smooth changes and rapid response in kickdown. Want manual control? Simply reach for the steering wheel-mounted paddleshifters.Driver involvement is what the 3-Series is all about. The M Sport rides 15mm lower than other models, and stiffer suspension tightens the dynamics. From the outset, the chassis gives a sporty edge – sharp steering and superb front-end grip combine with the taut springs to deliver agile handling. Yet the firm damping means the 330d fidgets over bumpy surfaces.The 330d is undoubtedly an enormously accomplished car. The question is whether it’s good enough to justify the highest price. More power and improved emissions mean 3-Series is better than ever. SCORES Styling: Interior: Driving: Costs: Green: ECONOMY Even though the BMW is the most expensive car here to buy, as an ownership prospect it makes great sense. Low emissions mean road tax of only £145 a year, and company car bills are reduced. Fixed-price servicing allows you to budget for future costs easily – you can choose between service or all-inclusive maintenance for three years and 36,000 miles or five years/50,000 miles.
