The car was designed by famed automotive engineering company Italdesign, home of Giorgetto Giugiaro, and features a similar frontal design of a BMW. The car was equipped with the Neuromotion FC6 engine from BMW and produced 660hp. [edit] Nazca C2 Spider In 1993 Italdesign released a new, slightly redesigned version of the C2 called C2 Spider. The car appeared in the Need For Speed II SE video game. The original Nazca C2 appeared in the PSX version of Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit. Performance Reliability Parts Availability Overall Value for Money I own the original Autocar/Motor test car: a 1987 Alpina C2 2.7 Cabriolet, its believed to be the first car bulit for th U.K. and was the Sytner test car that year. I have owned her for over two years and she's over 15 years old. I can tell you she is one of the most refined motor cars I have ever owned.On performance the car is blistering, I recently pitched her against a E30 M3 with 220bhp and she pissed all over her, the driver could not catch the C2 and worse still I had the soft top down....... I have found that the car is very reliable and produces a lot more power than quoted. With 84000 miles covered she is only getting into her stride. Alpina's tend to age beautifully.....
