The car has also recently had a new crank shaft, sensor and cam shaft sensor as one of them was faulty. I replaced the diff oil when the rear diff was replaced. So all the fluids in the car are less than 6 months old. It has had many new hoses and parts in the last year purely from preventative maintenance. The car went through the previous MOT with no advisories. I have also had new standard rear discs and pads within the last year. Doesn`t use any water or oil. a 1996 it has tax and mot,electric roof and windows all work,the seats are ok except the drivers seat is a bit worn.The bonnet has some stone chips the bonnet cable has broken but you can pull the cable from the front (which cant be seen). Under the boot lid there is a bit of surface rust not to bad(check photos). The outside temp sensor is wrong it says -37. When I got it it was down on power so I took it to a BMW specialist and found that it needed a air mass sensor,lamber sensor and a camshaft sensor so I changed them and the power is how it should be.Feel free to come and view before end of auction ends. paint `Mora metallic` and looks absolutely fantastic with no dinks or dents anywhere.The car also has 18inch AC snitzer chrome rim alloys fitted which cost over £1500 when new and all the tyres are like new.The electric operated roof is in very good condition as well with only a very small repair carried out last year by a fully qualified trimmer who had to weld a tiny patch inside on the passenger rear.This repair was very very minor just me being overly fussy.The actual complete roof was replaced in 2004 for the sum of £3500 at a main dealer so has many years left in it.The vehicle is also fitted with a factory M3 bodykit with uprated wing mirrors and has been de-badged on the boot i.e. no 328i.Which in my opinion looks far better.The exhaust is in very good condition and has stainless steel twin rear pipes. Moving on to inside the vehicle is immaculate finished with light tan leather which was given a 2 day course of Glyptone leather enhancer to protect and preserve it`s look.The car is also fitted with a top of the range Alpine cd player and sounds amazing.It is also fitted with a E36 M3 steering wheel and has a walnut fascia and surround to glovebox,automatic transmission and dash.The aircon works fine as do all the electrics for windows and roof mechanism etc. The car has had a service B carried out last october and also had new rear shocks and drive belt replaced in november.The vehicle comes with full BMW history and has stacks of bills and receipts so has been very well cared for.I have just taxed the car for 6 months and the MOT runs out the begining of april.The mileage is 135k but the engine is clean and smooth due to regular servicing and maintenance. centre surrounds. the car has done 155`000 miles with fifteen stamps of service history and fourteen of which are from BMW! last serviced only 5000 miles ago so not due for a while. The car has only had TWO owners from new! It comes with 12 months MOT (01/2013)!! And 6 months TAX (06/2012)!! The car drives and sounds like it has done 50k, the engine is absolutely fantastic and as if the service stamps dont speak for themselves there are over £8000 in receipts for work that has been done, most if not all of which are also BMW and all the previous MOT`s. There is even the original bill of sale which shows all the extras the car had when it was new and the car cost £36`000! The car is fitted with a thatcham cat 1 alarm from BMW. And there is the option to subscribe to the tracker facility which the car has had fitted. The interior of the car is in good condition considering the age and mileage of the car but the drivers side bolster has worn through, there are genuine BMW mats in the car which match the carpets and were not cheap. The hood works perfectly and has no rips or signs of wear and the rear screen is as new as it was replaced last week (Not cheap!) The car has also had a brand NEW clutch fitted last week from Mr Clutch costing £250 (receipt to prove). The body work of the car i would say is very good only showing bubbling in the common places (i`ve tried to show them as best as i can in the pics), there are also a couple of small dents/scratches but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that affects the cars looks. The car is ready for the summer and im sure will keep going for many to come! All work as expected. Kick-down is impressive and makes overtakes a breeze. I really don`t want to sell the car, but my job has recently changed which means that my daily commute has more than doubled. I am on the lookout for a VW or BMW diesel to help cut down on the fuel costs. Just before I bought the car, it had a major service, front brake pads, front ball joint, rear wheel bearing, rear brake pipes and replacement rear coil springs at a cost of £670. (receipt to prove) Since buying the car I have replaced the alternator, the air intake boot (due to an age related split which was effecting tickover) and more recently, the top engine cover gasket as it was leaking (took a while to figure this out as the leaking oil was burning off on the exhaust!). No smell of burning oil or drips now. The bodywork is in very good order and looks great after a good wash and polish. (filthy at the moment due to the weather!) The panels are all straight, with no dents. Due to the age of the car, there are some minor scratches, but nothing major. These are mainly confined to the bumpers. If I was keeping the car, I would get them resprayed, but they don`t detract from the look of the car. I`m just a perfectionist! The nearside rear wheel arch has a small amount of peeling paint (looks like underseal) but the metal underneath is solid. This is not the outer edge of the wheel arch so does not spoil the looks of the car. The top edge of the windscreen has some bubbled paint but again, this is not serious, just me wanting to let you know exactly how it looks. The electric roof is in very good order as is the rear screen which is not discoloured or creased. It is fitted with a set of later (E46) alloys with good tyres. There is some slight curbing on a couple of the wheels but they are not badly damaged. The interior is very clean and tidy. Full grey leather with just a small amount of wear on the outer edges of the front seats. This is very minor wear. The car would have been an N-reg but had a private plate fitted by the previous owner. The plate (J40SKU) has no value as far as I am aware, but does hide the age of the car, which is nice. It is currently fitted with some after-market halo headlights in a bid to improve visibility at night, but these aren`t a great fit, so I will include a pair of standard headlights in the sale. (I bought them as they looked good in the pictures but wish I`d left the standard lights on now!) There are several receipts and a couple of old MOT`s. The car comes with it`s original manual and service book. Most services carried out by BMW main dealers or specialists, most recent of which was at 116117 miles at Alec Morton & son in Bradford just before I bought the car. We`ll be sorry to see the car go as we were hoping for a long hot summer to make the most of the roof, but i need more MPG You can contact me on 07832 747 134 or via ebay.
